Findus is one of the most well known and trusted food brands in Scandanavia with over 60 years experience of manufacturing high quality food products.
1905 Skånska Fruktin & Likörfabriken founded in Bjuv
1941 Confectionery company Freja Marabou buys Skånska Fruktin & Likörfabriken, renaming it Findus Canning Factory shortly afterwards
1945 Findus launches the first frozen food products into Swedish stores
1947 With the introduction of frozen foods, the business is renamed Findus Co
1952 Acquisition of Hammerfest factory in Norway
1958 Findus frozen products now sold in a number of export markets, including the UK. In Bjuv, the world’s largest belt freezer for peas is installed
1962 Findus Co purchased by Swiss food giant, Nestle
1971 The ‘Findus flag’ becomes the new Findus trademark
1987 Findus Lean Cuisine is launched, introducing frozen single portion dishes to Swedish supermarkets
2000 EQT Partners acquires Findus from Nestle.  Acquisition of Frionor in Norway
2004 Divestment of Findus UK, Spain, Germany and Australia and focus in core markets in Scandinavia, France and CEE
2006 CapVest acquires Findus AB from EQT, Foodvest created as holding company of Findus and Young's Seafood
2008 As part of Foodvest, Findus is purchased by private equity firm, Lion Capital
2009 Findus parent group, Foodvest, is renamed Findus Group
